La octava edición de la Rugby World Cup se celebrará desde el 4 de septiembre hasta el 17 de octubre de 2015 en Inglaterra, http://youtu.be/oWPquC1GZl4 jugándose alguno de los partidos en el Millennium Stadium de Cardiff en Gales. La sede de la edición de 2019 será Japón. Será la primera vez que la competición se juegue en Asia. Hong Kong y Singapur esperan ser sede de algunos partidos.

Japan was announced as the host for the competition to 2019. This will be the first time this tournament to be held in Asia. Honkong and Singapora are expected to host some of the matches.

All Blacks defeat the French Rooster / Los All Blacks vencen al gallo fracés

Los míticos All Blacks de Nueva Zelanda, los Kiwis, tras un partido reñido hasta el final, vencieron 8-7 al XV del gallo, Francia, y se proclamaron bicampeones mundiales de rugby.

Francia, contra todo pronóstico, jugó un partido en el que los All Blacks nunca pudieron tener clara su victoria.

Con una espectacular haka contestada por los franceses avanzando en grupo hacia los All Blacks, el partido comenzó con Francia dominando el juego. Un ensayo de Tony Woodcock y un golpe de castigo transformado por Stephen Donald dieron ventaja a los All Blacks (8-0). En el minuto 48, Thierry Dusautoir consiguió un ensayo que transformó Trinh-Duc . Esto les dejaba a los kiwis con un punto de ventaja que supieron defender durante la última parte del partido para conseguir por segunda vez y tras una media hora de infarto, la Copa Webb Ellis.

France, against All Blacks, played a game in which the All Blacks could never be clear about its victory.
With a spectacular haka answered by the French group advancing to the All Blacks, the party began with France dominating the game. A try by Tony Woodcock and a penalty converted by Stephen Donald gave advantage to the All Blacks (8-0). In minute 48, Thierry Dusautoir got a try that transformed Trinh-Duc. This left the Kiwis with a point advantage they learned to defend during the latter part of the game to get a second time and a half hour after infarction, the Webb Ellis Cup.

Los All Blacks han llegado a la final contra Francia en la Copa Mundial de Rugby 2011,

1987 fue el año en que Steinlager http://www.steinlager.com/splash.aspx y el mundialmente famoso equipo de rugby de Nueva Zelanda unieron sus fuerzas, ese año los All Blacks http://www.allblacks.com/ barrieron todo a su paso en la primera Copa del Mundo de Rugby en Nueva Zelanda y Australia. Durante los siguientes tres años, bajo la capitanía de David Kirk y Shelford Buck, se mantuvieron invictos e inbatibles, estableciéndose como uno de los más grandes equipos en la historia de los All Blacks. La asociación entre Steinlager y los All Blacks se vio reforzada por el nombramiento Steinlager como la cerveza oficial de la Copa del Mundo de Rugby en 1991.

Francia se ha plantado en la final, contra todo pronóstico y con un juego que nada tiene que ver con el rugby champán que nos encandiló a todos los amantes del rugby.

En 1987 quedó en segundo lugar, perdió con Nueva Zelanda que vuelve a ser su rival; en 1991 se quedó en cuartos; en 1995 fué tercera, en 1999 segunda y en 2003 y 2007 cuarta.

In 1987 they finished in the second place, losing to New Zealand. In 1991 get only ¼ final; in 1995 they was third; in 1999 the second and the four in 2003 and 2007.

La Copa Mundial de Rugby de 2011 / The 2011 Rugby World Cup

Es la séptima edición de la Copa Mundial de Rugby, torneo internacional de la Rugby Union que se disputa cada cuatro años desde 1987. En la reunión de la International Rugby Board (IRB), organismo rector del rugby internacional y organizador del evento, celebrada en Dublin el 17 de noviembre de 2005, fue seleccionada la candidatura de Nueva Zelanda para albergar el torneo. Los candidatos a organizar la copa del mundo fueron Japón Sudáfrica y Nueva Zelanda. El consejo de la IRB llevó a cabo dos rondas de votación para elegir el país anfitrión, siendo la candidatura sudafricana eliminada en primera ronda.
Se espera que el evento genere unos gastos de aproximadamente 310 millones de NZ$ y unos ingresos de 280 millones de NZ$ solo en concepto de venta de entradas y alrededor de 700 millones de NZ$ como consecuencia de la llegada de aficionados al país. La copa del Mundo de 2011 será el mayor evento deportivo de la historia de Nueva Zelanda por encima de la Copa Mundial de Rugby 1987, los Juegos de la Commonwealth de 1990, la Copa Mundial de Cricket de 1992, la Copa América o la gira de los Lions de 2005. Se espera la llegada al país de 100.000 personas con motivo de los actos del torneo.
El torneo se desarrolla durante seis semanas a partir del 9 de septiembre, finalizando con la disputa de la final el 23 de octubre, en el Eden Park de Auckland.
Los equipos participantes de este mundial al igual que en la Copa Mundial de Rugby de 2007 son 20. Los primeros clasificados son los tres primeros de cada grupo de la Copa Mundial de Rugby. Estos equipos son: Argentina, Sudáfrica, Inglaterra, Tonga, Australia, Fiji, Gales, Nueva Zelanda, Escocia, Italia, Francia e Irlanda. Los siguientes ocho equipos se clasificaron para la copa de Mundo a través de las fases de clasificación regionales: Canadá, Georgia, Japón, Namibia, Rusia, Samoa y Estados Unidos. La vigésima y última plaza para la copa del Mundo la obtuvo el ganador de la fase de repesca entre Rumanía y Uruguay, que se disputó el 27 de noviembre de 2010 y que clasificó a Rumanía.
La selección rusa es la única que participará por primera vez en una edición de la Copa del Mundo de rugby.

The 2011 Rugby World Cup is the seventh Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. The International Rugby Board (IRB) selected New Zealand as the host country in preference to Japan and South Africa at a meeting in Dublin on 17 November 2005. The IRB Council eliminated South Africa in the first of two rounds of voting.
It is the largest sporting event ever held in New Zealand, eclipsing the 1987 Rugby World Cup, 1997 Commonwealth Games, 1992 Cricket World Cup and the 2003 America´s Cup. The organisers expect 95,000 visitors from overseas to travel to New Zealand for the event.[3]
The schedule of games runs over six weeks starting on 9 September 2011. The final will be played on Sunday 23 October 2011, a date chosen because it falls on a long weekend caused by the New Zealand public holiday of Labour Day (Monday, 24 October 2011). The final is scheduled to be played in Ackland at Eden Park.
After speculation that the number of participating teams would be reduced to 16, the IRB announced on 30 November 2007 that the 2011 tournament would again feature 20 teams. Twelve teams qualified as a result of finishing in the top three in each pool in the 2007 tournament. The remaining eight berths were determined by regional qualifying tournaments.[7] Of the 20 countries that competed in the previous World Cup in 2007, there was only one change – Russia replaced Portugal.
The event is expected to cost about NZ$ 310 million to run and to generate NZ$ 280 million in ticket sales. In Auckland, the city where many of the most important games will take place, the costs to the local ratepayers alone has been estimated at $102 million.
Participating teams in this world as in the Rugby World Cup 2007 are 20. The top finishers are the top three in each group of the Rugby World Cup. These teams are: Argentina, South Africa, England, Tonga, Australia, Fiji, Wales, New Zealand, Scotland, Italy, France and Ireland. The following eight teams qualified for the World Cup through the regional qualifying rounds: Canada, Georgia, Japan, Namibia, Russia, Samoa and the U.S.. The twentieth and final spot for the World Cup was the winner of the playoff stage between Romania and Uruguay, which was played on November 27, 2010 and ranked Romania.
The Russian team is the only participating for the first time in an edition of the Rugby World Cup.
