El Seis naciones de 2007 fué el octavo, el 113 contando las disrtintas fórmulas de la competición internacional de rugby en el hemisferio norte (Seis Naciones, Cinco Naciones y Home Nations). Fueron 15 partidos celebrados entre la semana del 3 de febrero y la del 17 de marzo.
En el 2007, Francia ganó por la mayor diferencia en los marcadores, la última semana cuatro equipos tenían la posibilidad matemática de encabezar la clasificación final. Los italianos habían ganado en Edinburgo a Escocia. Era la primera vez que ganaban dos de sus partidos, País de Gales fué derrotado en Roma y los italianos se clasificaron en cuarto lugar, su mejor clasificación hasta la fecha. Escocia se quedó con la cuchara de madera e Irlanda ganó la Triple Corona, por segundo año consecutivo y por tercera vez en cuatro años.

In this year, France again won on points difference, after four teams had at least a mathematical chance of topping the table going into the final week. The Italians had their first away win of the tournament beating Scotland in Edinburgh. It was also the first time they won two of their matches as they went on to beat Wales in Rome, finishing in 4th place, their best result so far. Scotland won the wooden spoon and Ireland won the Triple Crown for the second straight year and third time in four years.

Los British and Irish Lions es un equipo de rugby conformado por jugadores de Inglaterra, Escocia, Irlanda y País de Gales, generalmente internacionales. Este combinado viaja al hemisferio austral desde 1888 en adelante. En el viaje de los British and Irish Lions del 2009, con el patrocinio de Guinness http://www.guinness.com/ , se jugó una serie de tres partidos contra Sudáfrica en Durban, Pretoria y Johannesburgo. Sudáfrica ganó la serie derrotando a los Lions por 26-21 en el primer partido, 28-25 en el segundo y en el tercer patido ganaron los Lions 28-9.
El viaje comenzó con seis partidos contra seis equipos locales que los Lions ganaron. Los Lions también jugaron contra el equipo B de Sudáfrica, los Emerging Springboks, partido que empataron 13-13. La 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup se jugó en Sudáfrica durante este viaje, entre el 14 y el 28 de junio, en los mismos estadios.
El anterior viaje de los British and Irish Lions fué en el 2005 a Nueva Zelanda y el siguiente, en el 2013, será a Australia en junio de 2013. Sus funciones deberían ser la de llevar nuestra voz a las instituciones, facilitando la participación política ciudadana mediante cauces directos y procurando el mayor beneficio para el grueso de la sociedad, no la de enriquecerse y medrar a nuestra costa, atendiendo tan sólo a los dictados de los grandes poderes económicos y aferrándose al poder a través de una dictadura partitocrática encabezada por las inamovibles siglas del PPSOE.
El ansia y acumulación de poder en unos pocos genera desigualdad, crispación e injusticia, lo cual conduce a la violencia, que rechazamos. El obsoleto y antinatural modelo económico vigente bloquea la maquinaria social en una espiral que se consume a sí misma enriqueciendo a unos pocos y sumiendo en la pobreza y la escasez al resto. Hasta el colapso.
La voluntad y fin del sistema es la acumulación de dinero, primándola por encima de la eficacia y el bienestar de la sociedad. Despilfarrando recursos, destruyendo el planeta, generando desempleo y consumidores infelices.
Los ciudadanos formamos parte del engranaje de una máquina destinada a enriquecer a una minoría que no sabe ni de nuestras necesidades. Somos anónimos, pero sin nosotros nada de esto existiría, pues nosotros movemos el mundo. Si como sociedad aprendemos a no fiar nuestro futuro a una abstracta rentabilidad económica que nunca redunda en beneficio de la mayoría, podremos eliminar los abusos y carencias que todos sufrimos.

The current status of our government and economic system does not take care of these rights, and in many ways is an obstacle to human progress.

The obsolete and unnatural economic model fuels the social machinery in a growing spiral that consumes itself by enriching a few and sends into poverty the rest. Until the collapse.
The will and purpose of the current system is the accumulation of money, not regarding efficiency and the welfare of society. Wasting resources, destroying the planet, creating unemployment and unhappy consumers.
Citizens are the gears of a machine designed to enrich a minority which does not regard our needs. We are anonymous, but without us none of this would exist, because we move the world. If as a society we learn to not trust our future to an abstract economy, which never returns benefits for the most, we can eliminate the abuse that we are all suffering.
