Fundada en 1895, la South African Breweries Ltd (SAB) es el origen histórico de SABMILLER plc, uno de los gigantes del mundo de la cerveza, con más de 200 marcas y acuerdos de distribución en 75 países en todo el mundo.

SAB es el mayor productor y distribuidor de bebidas alcohólicas y sin alcohol mayor de Sudáfrica.

La empresa maneja en Sudáfrica siete cervecerías y 40 depósitos. Con una capacidad de elaboración de cerveza anual de 3.1 mil millones de litros, su cartera de marcas incluye buena parte de las cervezas más populares del país: Carling Black Label, Hansa Pilsener; Castle Lager, Castle Lite y Castle Milk Stout.

SAB World of Beer es un escaparate que muestra, de forma entretenida, la magia de la elaboración de la cerveza. Fruto de una millonaria inversión de SAB se construyó el Newtown Cultural. Desde la apertura de sus puertas hace casi diez años, SAB World of Beer se ha convertido en una atracción popular para el turismo.

Founded in 1895, the South African Breweries Ltd (SAB) is the historical origin of SABMILLER plc, one of the giants of the world of the beer, with more than 200 brands and distribution agreements in 75 countries in the whole world.

SAB is the greatest producer and distributor of alcoholic drinks and without alcohol of South Africa.

The company handles in South Africa seven breweries and 40 warehouses. With a capacity of production of annual beer of 3.1 billion liters, his brand portfolio includes good part of the most popular beers of the country: Carling Black Label, Hansa Pilsener; Castle Lager, Castle Lite and Castle Milk Stout.

SAB World of Beer is a fun-filled showcase that shows the magic of beer and brewing. SAB multi-million rand investment in the area helped lay the foundations for what has become  the Newton Cultural Precint. Since opening it doors almost ten years ago, SAB World of Beer has turned into a popular attraction for the tourism.
