South Pacific Breweries, fué fundada en 1952 por un grupo de empresarios locales en Port Moresby . South Pacific Lager es la marca bandera de SP. Lanzada en 1952. Con un contenido alcohólico del 4,5% se presenta en botella , lata y barril de 30 litros.

Desde el 2005 apoya el rugby. Desde 2007 ha esponsorizado diversoa torneos de rugby a siete.

South Pacific Breweries was floated as a company in 1952 by a group of local entrepreneurs in Port Moresby. South Pacific Lager is SP Brewery's mainstream brand. It was launched in 1952. It is in 330 ml bottle and can and contains 4.5% alcohol. It is packed in cartons of 24 bottles, 12 and 6. The cans are only packed in 24s. This brand is also in 30 litre keg.

Since being involved in 2005 with rugby union, SP Brewery has supported the 2007 South Pacific Export Regional Satellite Seven's, 2007 PNG Sevens, the 2009 Port Moresby Seven's and more recently the NGI Seven.
